Philanthropy at Heritage Museums & Gardens
1969, Josiah K. Lilly, III and his wife Josephine, created the magnificent property we know today as Heritage Museums & Gardens.
From antique automobiles, some of which are the earliest ever built in the United States, the fine collection of American art, to our 100 acres of award-winning gardens, Heritage has been delighting visitors for over 35 years.
We are able to provide this remarkable experience thanks to the generosity of our donors. To this end, we offer variety of programs; some with specific targets, such as the Support/Restore/Preserve program for the restoration and preservation of the antique automobiles and the Looff Carousel; and some more general in purpose, such as The Heritage Museums & Gardens Legacy Society.
